"Aap ne meri dunya roshan kar
di. Main Mahavir International ka shukar guzar hoon
or ta-umra rahunga"
These words were uttered by Mohd Akram, 50 years, residing
in the JJ cluster of Tilak Nagar. A carpenter by profession,
he earned his living visiting house to house for work.
Having already lost vision in his right eye, he had
been experiencing problems in his left eye as well.
Due to extreme poverty and lack of proper guidance he
could not get treatment leading to total blindness.
"My world was submerged in darkness", he said,
and he was also plagued with nightmares about feeding
his family. It was then that a family that he'd worked
with recommended Mahavir International's Rajdhani Charitable
hospital. He was operated on 25th March'04 for Kala
Motia (Glaucoma). Now, being able to see from both eyes,
he has started his work with renewed zest.
